About the Project
This social initiative was launched sta iniciativa social começou m 2003 no EUA quando o Sr. Guy Mercielaunched in 2003 in the USA, when Guy Mercier -then VP Finance for Solvay Polymers Inc.- decided to train hundreds of their employees to better manage their personal finance…with success!
Launching this project in Portugal in 2014, we analyzed the local market through various pilot classes for Solvay employees and general public. We then fine-tuned our AMCP method (Awareness, Measurement, Control, Plan) and developed the tools.
As a result, our training center was certified by the Portuguese DGERT (part of Ministry of Labor) in 2019.
We put a solid distribution network in place to serve you online and in physical classes.

Our value proposition
YMW’S financial education programs are particularly clear, simple and easy to put in practice, so that results are visible very quickly, and guaranteed (or reimbursed). There is no pre-requisite. Our programs are available to people from 18 to 80 years old, with basic calculation knowledge. All materials and tools are delivered during the classes.

YMW training programs are based on our proprietary AMCP method, based on 4 steps:

Our Support
After each training session we collect your feedback to improve the quality of our programs, but more importantly to answer your questions and provide additional support if necessary. We can organize workshops on demand, to further practice the tools and address specific needs. Guarantee
If after six months If after six months of practicing YMW method and tools your savings did not compensate for the cost of the lessons, we will reimburse them to you. You will just have to register a complaint on our website.

Launched in 2003 the genesis of the Your Money Watcher© in the USA, becoming the founder of the project and author of the personal finance management method A.M.C.P. Conducts senior financial coaching sessions and is a senior trainer in some Your Money Watcher© training courses. Author of specialized articles on financial management and specialist in corporate finance for executives.
Luís F. Lourenço
Headmaster & Senior Financial Trainer
Started his activities related to personal finance management in 2009. Now is the coordinator of the Your Money Watcher’s education division and senior trainer in some of the training courses. Speaker and participant in various events (workshops, seminars, conferences), author of online courses, ebooks and several articles on personal finance management, and also author of the book “Master your Personal Finance and have a Better Life”.
